Services Wednesday For Manufacturer

VAN WERT - Dr. C. S. Fergus, president of the Van Wert Manufacturing Co., died at 10 p.m. Sunday in Van Wert County Hospital following a heart attack. He was 76.

Dr. Fergus, who was a dentist, although he never practiced here, also was president of the Van Wert Foundation and of the Van Wert Building and Savings Co. He was a native of Miami County.

He was a charter member of the Willow Bend Country Club and a charter member and past president of the Van Wert Rotary Club. During World War II, Dr. Fergus served as chairman of the county Selective Service Board. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his widow and a daughter, Mrs. Alex Stewart, Van Wert.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m Wednesday in the First Presbyterian Church here with burial in Woodland Cemetery. The Alspach Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
