Michelle Owenby Abshire, 39, of Pressley Road, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, Nov. 27, 2005, at Haywood Regional Hospital.
She was a native of Haywood County where she lived most of her life. She was a wonderful mother and sister; a member of Woodland Baptist Church; the daughter of James Reeves Owenby of Waynesville and the late Frances Elaine Fleming Owenby.
Surviving in addition to her father is a daughter, Shelby Nicole Abshire of Waycross, Ga.; son, Todd Franklin of Waynesville; step daughter, Chelsea Abshire of Waycross, Ga.; grandparents, Burt and Willie Killian of Clyde and Dempsy Owenby of Canton; sister, Melissa Elaine Franklin and husband, Kenny, of Waynesville; special niece, Taylor McKinzie Franklin; fianc, Merrill Robertson of Waynesville.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Liberty Baptist Church, with the Revs. Carl Zilke and Jerry Nelson officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends 12 to 2 p.m. Friday at the church, and at other times will be at the grandparents home, Burt and Willie Killian, Old Clyde Drive, Clyde.
Memorial would be appreciated to the family.
