GIRL LOSES LIFE IN
PLAYFUL ROMP

Services will be Tuesday for a 4-year-old Yukon girl who was crushed Saturday by an antique gas pump while playing with the family dog.

Pamela Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Brown, Yukon, was killed about 2 p.m. Saturday in the front yard of her grandparents' home, Yukon police said.

A Yukon police department spokesman said the young girl was at the Milo Mickle home, a farm 2 1/2 miles south of Yukon, when the accident occured.

Her dog was tied to an antique gas pump and pulled the pump on top of her while she was playing with him, police said.

Heart massage and resuscitation was administered by the Yukon Fire Department, police said, but she was pronounced dead on arrival at Baptist Memorial Hospital at 2:30 p.m.

She will have services at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Turner Funeral Home, Yukon, with burial in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
