Miss Willie Mae Cothern, 59 of Bristol, passed away early Sunday morning (January 1, 2012) at Satilla Hospice House.
Born in Blackshear on December 7, 1952, she had lived in Pierce County all of her life. She was affectionately known as Mae Mae and was a daughter of the late John Greene & Sally Mae Whitley Cothern. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Darcile Altman.
Survivors include two sisters, Mary Ruth Corbitt of Patterson and Velma Durrence of Jesup; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Elbert Lee "Buddy" Cothern of Blackshear, Johnny Terrell & Betty Jean Cothern of Baxley and Raymond Greene Cothern of Patterson; her caregiver and niece, Cathy Bullard of Bristol and several other nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation:
Visitation for Miss Cothern will be held Tuesday from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
Service:
Funeral services for Miss Cothern will be held Wednesday afternoon, January 4, 2012, at 2:00 o'clock at the Pearson-Dial Chapel.
Cemetery:
Interment will be in the Blackshear Cemetery.
