Well Known Lahaina Resident Dies at Malulani Today
Samuel Umi Apo, formerly teacher at Kam III School at Lahaina and well known resident of West Mau, died early yesterday morning at the Malulani hospital following a lingering illness.
Apo was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ung Apo of Lahaina. He was born on Feb. 10, 1902 and was 31 years old.
The body was taken from the Peter's Undertaking Parlors to the Apo home in Lahaina where it was on view last night and this morning. Services will be held this afternoon at the Wainee church and burial will be at the Wainee church cemetery.
The deceased taught at Kam III School for a number of years until 1929 when he was taken ill. Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Margaret Mary Apo, and several brothers and sisters, including Mrs. Frank Alameda and Mrs. Albert Ontai of Lahaina.
