Aged Woman Dies
Mrs. Mary E. Couch died at the County Infirmary Friday, Dec. 19, of infirmities of old age. She had been an inmate of this institution for the past two or three years.
Mary E. Ward was born in Marion county Feb. 10, 1833 and lived in Marion and Shelby counties all her life. She was married to John D. Couch, who preceded her to the grave about 25 years ago.
She is survived by three daughters and two sons, Mrs. Cordelia Painter of Lentner, Mrs. John Rogers of Shelbina, Mrs. Adeline Sprague of Cameron Junction, Elisha Couch of ellston, Minn., and Jesse Couch of Seattle, Wash. Two sons, Noah and Irvin, died several years ago.
The remains were taken to Clarence Saturday for burial and placed beside her husband.

Rogers of this city and Mrs. Cordelia Painter of Lentner and two sons, Elisha Couch of Minnesota and Jesse Couch of Seattle, Wash. Mrs. Couch was 87 years old. Her husband and two sons preceded her to the grave.
