Eliza Jane Johnson, Wife of Thomas Johnson died March 13, 1902, at her home in West Nottingham, near Fremont, aged 33 years. She had been sick about six months with consumption, but was able to be about her house up to the time of her death, her sudden departure was a great shock to her family, consisting of her kind husband and four children.
Her consistent Christian life, gentle disposition and kindness toward others endeared her to her relatives and many friends. One less at home, The charmed circle broken, a dear face missed.
But cleansed, saved, perfected by grace, One more in heaven ! One less on earth, Its pain, its sorrow and its toil to share, One less the pilgrim's daily cross to bear, One more the crown of the blest to wear, At home in heaven.
