PERRY, May 21 - Mrs. Barbara Kasl, 84, pioneer Oklahoma and Noble county resident died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. M. A. Swatek in Oklahoma City Monday following a short illness. She suffered a stroke of paralysis several weeks ago with pneumonia as the immediate cause of her death.
Mrs. Kasl came to Oklahoma from Republic county, Kans., in 1899, and came to Perry late in 1893. She lived here until the death of her husband, Albert Kasl in 1898 after which she removed to Oklahoma City to live with her daughters.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. James Dolezal of Perry, Mrs. Swatek and Mrs. A. J. Jedlicka of Oklahoma City, nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Following funeral services at the Hahn Funeral home in Oklahoma City at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning. The body will be brought to Perry for burial in the Bohemian cemetery north of Perry where short services will be held at 1 o'clock in the afternoon.' 22 May 1935, Wed. -- Blackwell Journal-Tribune (Blackwell, Oklahoma)
Also, on the 1930 census record Mrs. Kasl is listed as being born in Czechoslovakia. Earlier census records list her as being born in Bohemia.
