Mrs. Lindsey & her husband S.K. Lindsey were among the earliest settlers in McGregor, having married in Milam County and moving to Comanche Springs in 1884. Soon after that they moved to McGregor where Mr. Lindsey was a peace officer for many years. He was also city secretary.

Survived by 5 children, 3 children died in infancy.
