Burial was in Lowe Cemetery near Kelly for Mrs. Spear who died Thursday night in Morehouse General Hospital in Bastrop after a long illness.
Her late husband, John M. Spear, was a Spanish-American War veteran who died in 1956. They resided on the Columbia-Copenhagen Road and later near Kelly before moving to Bastrop several years ago.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Ethel Mae Cherry of Bastrop; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
