He was born April 15, 1894, in the Town of Herman, son of the late William and Bertha Festerling Bramsteadt.
On Jan. 30, 1917, he married Elva Mahler, and the couple farmed in Herman until 1943 when they moved to Howards Grove. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1967.
Mr. Bramsteadt was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove and its Lutheran Laymen's League.
Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. E. W. (Irene) Suhrke, Town of Plymouth, and Mrs. Harley (Bernita) Seldmann, Town of Rhine; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Kimme of Howards Grove and Mrs. Lucy Klokow of R. 1, Cleveland, and a stepbrother, Raymond Bramsteadt of Howards Grove.
He was preceded by a great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Church, Howards Grove, with the Rev. William Lewis, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Walter H. Ahrens Funeral Home in Howards Grove from 4 p.m. Friday until 11 a.m. Saturday, and then at the church from noon until time of service.
