Mrs. Garcelon was a member of the pioneer Amen Family of Southern Humboldt County. She was a member of the Calvary Community Church of Fields Landing. She was a member of the Thelma Rebekah Lodge of Eureka for many years and a member of the Humboldt Historical Society. She will be remembered by the many children she cared for in her home.
She is survived by two sons, Robert L. Garcelon of San Jose and James A. Garcelon of Bremerton, Wash.; three dauthers, E. Darlene Beskeen of Woodland, Charlotte L. Apelar of Eureka and Valarie M. Pulkkinen of Eureka; four sisters, Evelyn M. Jackson of Lakeport, Martha S. Anderson of Portland, Ore., Barbara L. Hillard of Eureka and E. Joan Coussens of Fairfield; and 12 grand children.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Robert L. Garcelon; her parents, Clarence and Annie Amen, three brothers and four sisters.
