Betty Helm Rhodes, 76, 106 Center St., Campbellsville, died Sunday, Nov. 20, 1988, at the Metzmeier Nursing Home after an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late Edd Helm and Sarah Shreve and a member of the Merrimac United Methodist Church. She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom, Campbellsville. Mrs. Rhodes is survived by her husband, Hubert Rhodes; two sons, Walter Rhodes, Campbellsville, and Eddie Rhodes, Louisville; three grandchildren, Carolyn Wilcox, Dwight Rhodes and Scott Rhodes, all of Louisville; five great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister, Bill Helm, Louisville, and Ruby Helm, New York; several other relatives and a host of friends. The funeral was at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Dr. Rodford McDonald officiated. Pallbearers were Dean Rhodes, Bobby Rhodes, Scott Rhodes, Dwight Rhodes, Marshall McGlocklin, Jr. Pittman and L. M. Read.
