Anna Tobiason Of Anamosa Dies Tuesday, March 5
Mrs. Anna Tobiason, 78, Anamosa, died Tuesday morning, March 5, following a lingering illness, at Mercy hospital, Anamosa.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 8, at 2:30 p.m., at Wayne Zion Lutheran church. Rev. Luther Wachholz will conduct the service. Burial will be in Wayne cemetery.
Pallbearers include Charles Bickford, Al Brennaman, Julius Westphal, Tony Shada, Leslie Boner and John B. Brokens.
Life Outlined
She was born December 21, 1884, daughter of John Schoon and Mary (Poppe) Schoon, Amber. She was married to Rhinehart Tobiason in 1905. Couple made their home on a farm in Wayne township. Following the death of her husband, in 1926, she moved to Anamosa to make her home.
Survivors include two sons, Andrew Tobiason and Earl Tobiason, both of Anamosa; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Beside her husband she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
