She was born in Pike County, Ohio, on October 12, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Irvin and Maude (Russell) Hunt. Berniece married Paul Linebrink on Oct. 16, 1948, and he died July 18, 2009. She was a member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, a former Sunday school teacher and church treasurer. She retired from the Five County Mental Health Center and had also worked at Defiance Metal Products and G.C. Murphy.
Berniece will be missed by her daughters, Amy (John) Thomas of Frederick, Md., and Shelley (Tom) McNutt of Fayette, Ohio; sisters, Elsie Normolle of Cincinnati, Ohio, Lucille Hunt of Culpeper, Va., and Wilma Gibler of Delmont, Pa.; and brother, Milford (Norma) Hunt. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; a daughter, Teresa Frankowski; a sister, Dorothy Jesse; brothers, George Hunt and Charles Hunt, who died as a child, and another brother who died in infancy.
Services will be at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, 301 Carter Rd., Defiance, Ohio 43512, at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, with Rev. Lee Genter officiating. Friends are invited to call Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home, 1753 S. Clinton St., Defiance, and Wednesday from 9-10 a.m. at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church. Entombment will be in Riverview Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
