Funeral services for W. D. "Dub" Hardcastle, 87, of Goldthwaite, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004, at Mt. Olive Primative Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mills County under the direction of Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home of Goldthwaite. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.

Mr. Hardcastle died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004, in Goldthwaite.

W. D. "Dub" Hardcastle was born on Aug. 12, 1916, in Caradan, Texas, the son of Theophilus Jackson Hardcastle, Jr. and Martha Ada Holmes. He married Mildred Beatrice Anderson on Oct. 12, 1946, in Lampasas. He was a rancher/welder and a member of the Primative Baptist Church.

Survivors include: one daughter, Sheila Ulvog, of Austin; one son, Jud Hardcastle, of Dallas; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Effie Kirby, of Brownwood.
