Mason C. 'Marion' Combs was the son of Jeremiah Combs and
Charity 'Rhodes.' He was the grandson of Mason Combs Jr. and Dorothy Combs. Also of George Rhodes and wife.
NOTE: Research is being done at this time to find the maiden name of Dorothy and who George's wife was.
Mason was married to Margaret E. She was born 10 of June,
1823 in Tennessee. She died the 24th of August, 1895.
They were the parents of 10 children: Polly Ann, Albert A.,
Elvira T., Wilson L., Matilda J., Orpha C., Nancy E.,
John W., Eliza M., and Teressa Combs.
They are listed in the 1860 Census in Madison Co., Arkansas.
1880 Census, they are listed in Barry Co., Missouri.
Research shows John W. Combs and wife Nancy C., had 2 children in the 1880 census in Barry Co., Mo.; they were William E. age 5 and Margaret E., age 3, both born in Missouri. Research is on going and info will be added when possible on the other listed children.

Hi, I was just looking at the middle name listed. According to records and documents, "C" was the middle initial and no middle name has ever been listed or found. However on the Combs Genealogy website http://www.combs-families.org/combs/records/mo/barry.htm, it calls him Mason Canada multiple times, but that's the only source of a middle name. Even his father Jeremiah, on all the records and documentation that has been found on him, there has never been a middle name or an initial listed. Someone at some point slapped Calmes on his Find A Grave then the future copy and paste genealogist kept proliferating the error. Sorry about the ramble, I just wanted to correct an unproven name. Thank you.
