J. Wiley Cole died at his residence in Americus about 9:30 o'clock Thursday morning. Although he had been sick for some time, he was able to get up Thursday morning and was supposed to be improving. He suffered from heart trouble, with complications. Funeral arrangements have not been made.

FUNERAL OF J. W. COLE
The funeral services for J. W. Cole were conducted at the Cole home in Americus Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Rev. H. C. Kephart, pastor of the Americus M. E. Church, was in charge. Music was furnished by Miss Jennie Jaquith, Mrs. H. H. Bell, Milton Toomey and F. E. Hawkins. Mr. Cole was born in 1849, and came to Kansas when a young man. He is survived by Mrs. Cole, two daughters, one son, two sisters and a brother. The children are all married. Many beautiful floral offerings were received. Interment was made in the Americus Cemetery. The pallbearers were J. H. Buzzard, Roy Killion, Walter Loy, Charles Norris, C. F. Regenold, Jesse Woodmansee.
