The Phebe Sumner in this memorial did not marry Edward Thornburg. The Sumner who married Thornburg was born 1758 and died in 1802 or 1808 (record is somewhat illegible]. Records clearly show Phebe Sumner, d/o Robert Sumner, married Welcome Garrettt and since Welcome did not die until 1842, she remained his wife until her death.
Please disregard the Thornburg children as having kinship to this Phebe Sumner.

Tom's Creek Friends MH in Surry Co NC became Westfield Friends MH in 1786. That part of Surry Co NC was Rowan Co NC until 1771.
