Mrs. Fox was a graduate of Miles College and received advanced degrees from the University of Arkansas and Ball State University. After 31 years as a teacher/counselor, in Europe, she retired and moved to Huntsville in 1989. She was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., for more than 40 years.
Survivors include her daughters, Fay J. Fox of Huntsville and Karyl L. Fox of Marietta, Ga.; sister, Olivia H. (Columbus) Sanders of Huntsville; brother, Fate Roy Harris Jr. of Birmingham; grandsons, Greg Young of Chattanooga and Aundre Young of Huntsville; great-granddaughters, Tyler Chastney of Kittery, Maine, Jazmine Young of Huntsville, and Kenli Young of Virginia Beach, Va.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Lakeside United Methodist Church with the Rev. Thomas Muhomba officiating. Interment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Davenport & Harris Funeral Home is directing.
