We wish to thank our neighbors and friends for their assistance and kindness shown us during the illness and after the death of our wife and mother, Mrs. Mollie Altemeyer. Their acts of kindness will be remembered.

Obituary
Mrs. Fred Altemeyer, one of our highly respected ladies, whose sickness has been mentioned, passed from this world to the world beyond, Wednesday, December 12, 1917, at about one o'clock, aged 69 years, 1 month and 6 days.

Mollie Steinkamp was the daughter of Henry Steinkamp and wife and was born on what is known as the John Steinkamp farm, in Washington township November 6, 1848. One March 21, 1872, she was united in Marriage to Fred Altemeyer. To this union were born five girls, one of whom died in infancy. Mrs. Altemeyer has been sick with dropsy for several years and for the past nine weeks was bedfast.

Besides her husband she leaves four daughters, Mrs. William Topie, Mrs. Ben Breitfield, Mrs Oscar Mellancamp, of Seymour, and Mrs. Wade Empson of this place. She also leaves twelves grandchildren, three brothers, George Steinkamp, of this place; John Steinkamp, of Seymour; William Steinkamp of Jonesville, and two sisters, Mrs. Grose and Mrs. Zanforde of Cincinnati.

The funeral services were conducted at this Wegan church by Rev. F. Myer Saturday followed by burial in the Wegan cemetery. The grief stricken family have the sympathy of the entire community.
