Mrs. Blanche Blacka, 84, of High St., Dunbar, died unexpectedly at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at her home.

She was born Oct. 20, 1880, at Fairchance, a daughter of the late William and Mary Jane Sullivan Cole, and had lived at Dunbar for the past 60 years. She was a member of Franklin Memorial Methodist Church, Dunbar.

Surviving are her husband, Albert; three daughters, Mrs. Herman (Harriet) Carr of Bethelboro, Mrs. Albert (Polly) Herman of Dunbar and Mrs. Charles (Elva) McGivern of Ambridge; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Mathews of Uniontown and Mrs. Flora Minerd of Dunbar; a brother, James Cole of Republic, and a niece, Mrs. Thelma Wilhem of Springdale, whom she reared.

The body is at the family home, and at noon Friday will be removed to Franklin Memorial Methodist Church, Dunbar, where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. The Rev. Ellsworth Crispens will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery.
