Born October 6, 1929, in Adams County, he was the son of the late Paul and Lucy (Storm) Hartlaub.
Bob was the owner and operator of Hartlaub's Auto Parts, Gettysburg, for 50 years.
Mr. Hartlaub served in the Army during WWII. He loved to work and attend auto auctions.
In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by two daughters, Victoria L. Martin and husband, Edward S., Jr. of Littlestown, and Lucy M. Knight and husband, Charlie W. of Gettysburg; five sons, Samuel T. Hartlaub and wife, Cindy A. of Gettysburg, Robert A. Hartlaub, Jr. and wife, Cathy of Littlestown, Carroll E. Hartlaub and wife, Connie of York, Paul F. Hartlaub and wife, Diane of Abbottstown, and William L. Hartlaub of Hanover; stepdaughter, Linda S. Morrison and husband, Roy of New Oxford; 15 grandchildren; two stepgrandchil dren; 18 great-grandchildren; one step great-grandchild; 5 brothers, Leo Hartlaub of Glen Rock and Richard, Eugene, Edward, and Bernie Hartlaub, all of Littlestown; and three sisters, Ruth Toomey and Edith Bailey, both of Hanover, and Rose Chrismer of York.
Bob was predeceased by two sisters, Mary LePore and Pauline Tipton; and five brothers, Charles, Francis, John, Joseph, and Austin Hartlaub.
Funeral service will be held, January 2, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Little's Funeral Home, Littlestown, with the Rev. S.A. Garrett, of Gates of Praise Worship Center, Littlestown, officiating. Interment is in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hanover, with military honors conducted by Littlestown Allied Veterans Council.
