Joan (Unverzagt) Wallace, 70, of Cumberland, died May 21, 1997, at Hancock Memorial Hospital.

Born April 10, 1927, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth (Everett) Unverzagt.

She worked in the supply department at Naval Avionics for 31 years. She was a member of Cumberland Christian Church where she was a member of the Joy Circle Club and Choir.

Survivors include her son, Roger Wallace; daughters Janet Sitton, Brenda Engleking and Tina Rowe; brother John Unverzagt; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m.. Saturday at Flanner and Buchanan Washington Park East in Indianapolis with Art Liphard officiating.

Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.

Friends may call from 1-4 p.m. and 5-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society or Pinehaven Christian Church Children's Ranch in St. Ignatius, Mont.
