Edward O'Connor is the famous hero of Anti-Rent Fame of Delaware County, NY. He fought for the rights of the tenant farmers against the Patroon Dutch Landlords. His case went to the New York Supreme Court where the land was given to the farmers. Prior to this they couldnt buy it, no matter how long they lived there.
