Gene Dunn

Eugene Dunn, 86, of Paris died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011, at his residence.

His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at McEvoy Funeral Home.

Corey Cain, pastor of Maplewood Baptist Church, where Dunn was a member, will officiate. Cremation will follow the service.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 11 a.m. Thursday.

Born Dec. 21, 1925,in Greenfield, he was a son of the late William H. and Ethyl Paschall Dunn.

His wife, Elizabeth Farmer Dunn, died March 4, 2010. They were married on Nov. 3, 1961.

A family member said Dunn was an avid golfer and traveler and loved his family dearly.

He leaves one daughter: Carol Dunn of Paris; three sons: Gary E. (Nancy) Dunn of Paris, Barry (Barbara) Dunn of Newark, Del., and Randy Dunn of Jacksonville, Fla.; two stepsons: Ron (Marty) Overton of Grand Ledge, Mich., and David (Debbie) Overton of Okemos, Mich.

One sister: Dean (Gene) Nagel of Clarksville; a sister-in-law: Jean Dunn of Sharon; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He also was preceded in death by a sister: Dot Moreland; and a brother: David Dunn

Memorials may be made to the Maplewood Baptist Church building fund, 8700 Highway 218 Bypass, Paris.
