James Wade Bowen passed away Sunday, February 15, 2004. He was born in Baxley, GA on November 4, 1943 and had been a resident of Jacksonville since 1976. He had been an employee of Anheuser Busch for 24 years. He was a member of the North Jacksonville Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge, Riverview Lodge #306. He is survived by his wife, Pat G. Bowen, one son Jason Wade Bowen and two daughters, Michelle B. Lankford and Dana E. Rich, all of Jacksonville. Other survivors include one Brother, Truman Bowen of Baxley GA and sisters, Colleen Davis, Kathleen Bullard both of Baxley, JoAnn Mincey of Cumming, GA, Faye Gray of Jacksonville and Reda Taylor of Waycross, GA as well as two Grandchildren, Kaylyn and Brandon Lankford. Local services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM at the North Jacksonville Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Coram officiating. Active Pallbearers will be David Peacock, Don Harbison, Donnie Dilmuth, Ken Vaughn, Ray Futch, Carroll Reynolds and Honorary pallbearers a re members of North Jacksonville Baptist Businessmen's Class. Visitation will be at the Main Street Chapel of Hardage-Giddens. Visitation will be Tuesday evening at the Funeral Home from 6 until 8 PM. Visitation will be at the Strickland Miles Funeral Home in Baxley, GA Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 pm with chapel services on Thursday at 11 am.
