Havana Couple Die In Florida Tragedy - from the Associated Press Mrs. Charles A. Bell, 47, of Havana was found beaten to death at Cocoa Beach, Fla, Tuesday and her husband was found dead on the floor of the same room with the telephone in his hand. The couple had arrived at Cocoa Beach Monday from Yell County to visit their daughter, whose husband, A/1c Richard C. Weir, was being transferred to South Vietnam. A detective said that Bell, about 50, telephoned the police station Tuesday morning that he had just killed his wife with a hammer. The detective, Lt. John McEckeran, kept Bell on the phone while Air Police at Patrick Air Force Base were alerted. When police arrived Bell was still holding the phone, but was on the floor dead.
