Aunt Mabel died of a brain tumor at age 59. She was single and a very independent, attractive and intelligent lady. She attended Ellendale State College in North Dakota and graduated from the Chicago Business College. She worked in Chicago for the Federal Reserve Bank for 15 years before moving to California in 1951 to be near her sister Agnes's family. Mabel was employed in the Los Angeles area until her death.
