"Orpha R. Barngrover is not Lucy Russell's son, despite obituary.
He is the son of William Lewis Barngrover and his first wife, Lilly Celina Tracy Barngrover, back in Ohio.
I cannot enter her in find-a-grave because I do not know where she is buried or under what name. I did find her in the census as a child, and about all I know of her is what her daughter (my grandmother) Ora Ethel Barngrover told us.
She herself was told Lilly went out East on the Stage, and Grandma last remembers seeing her when Grandma was about 7 years old.
She left her husband when the children were little because of domestic violence. They were then raised with his second wife, Lucy Russell, and their own children, Orpha and Ora's half-siblings."
