Richard C. Duffy, 77, of Baldwinsville, died Sunday at home. Born in Syracuse, he was the son of the late Andrew and Edna MacFarlane. Dick retired from Onondaga County Department of Social Services as Chief Welfare Fraud Investigator. He previously worked for the Town of Clay as their first full time Police Officer and Wegmans in the loss prevention department. Surviving are sons Richard (Diane) of Clay and Brian Duffy of Eastwood; daughters Susan Duffy of Alma, MI, and Laura Duffy of Liverpool; long time companion, Patricia Simanowski; 10 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Services will be 10 a.m. on Thursday at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Marcellus. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 705 N. Main St.
