Solomon's obituary was provided by another family member, but the publication data is unknown:

"Solomon Lashbrook, one of the pioneers of Butler county, was born Mar. 20, 1828, in Devonshire, England, and died at his home near Swanton, April 16th, 1920, age 92 years and 27 days.

When 3 years of age he came to America with his parents, and settled in Essex county, New York. A few years later they came to Illinois. He was united in marriage with Harriet King at Harvard, Ill, in May 1856. They then moved to Iowa and settled near Swanton. He leaves to mourn his death his loving wife, two sons, Moses of Shell Rock, and Henry at home; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren, besides other relatives and a host of friends. He was a man of rugged character and kindly heart, and his long life attested the fact of his having been a righteous man all through life.

Funeral services were conducted at the home Sunday afternoon by H. A. Essex, pastor of the Baptist church at New Hartford. Interment was in Oak Hill cemetery."

Solomon and his family may have lived in Essex County New York for a while after their arrival in America, but, all research I have done has them in Clinton County New York.

His wife's maiden name on their marriage record is shown as Jewell, not King as appears in this obituary, the 1925 census of Iowa and in other family records.
