Gordon Porteus [sic], 17, Of Round Lake Park, Dies
Gordon Charles Porteus [sic], 17, of Bellview Dr., Round Lake Park, died yesterday at St. Therese hospital where he had been a patient several weeks.
Gordon was a freshman at Grant High school in Fox Lake. He was born at Libertyville on Sept. 10, 1929. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles D. Porteus [sic].
Other survivors include two sisters, Ellen Mae and Virginia Anne, both at Home; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Porteus [sic] of Mundelein, and his paternal grandfather, Jacob Sturm of Lake Zurich.
Services will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Strang's Funeral home in Grayslake. The Rev. James Nelson, pastor of the Round Lake Community church, will officiate and burial will be at Fort Hill cemetery.
