Lloyd W. Mayberry

Lloyd W. Mayberry, 64, of Caldwell, died Sunday, Feb. 24, in his home of natural causes. Mr. Mayberry, a retired maintenance foreman, was born May 17, 1920, in Ozark County, Mo. to Lowell W. and Minnie Upshaw Mayberry. He was reared and educated in Missouri. He married Doris Lovan on Nov. 15, 1938, in Ava, Mo. They farmed there until moving to Wilder in the early 1950s. They later came to Caldwell in 1953 and farmed in the Caldwell-Parma area until 1973. At that time Mr. Mayberry worked for the Caldwell School District as maintenance foreman at the Simplot Stadium complex in Caldwell. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping, and working with the youth in the community. Mr. Mayberry was an avid supporter of 4-H. He received certificates of appreciation from the state of Idaho, city of Caldwell, local 4-H clubs, the Caldwell School District and the Western Charolais Association, for his past help in the community and in their respective associations.

He is survived by his wife of Caldwell; three sons, Glen, Winfred and Jerry Mayberry, all of Caldwell; a daughter, Dorothy (Mrs. Richard) Pease of Mountain Home; a brother, Bob Mayberry of Nampa; three sisters, Lois Freeman of West Plains, Mo., Eunice McCool of Homedale and Ruby Taggart of Nampa; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. His parents, two sisters and two brothers died earlier.
