Notice of his funeral appeared in the Saturday edition of The Fort Wayne News and Sentinel on November 16, 1918:
Wilerson, Edward A. - From the residence, 501 Fairmount place, Monday morning at 10 o'clock, and at the Trinity M. E. Church at 10:30 o'clock. Burial in Lindenwood cemetery.

Obituary: November 15, 1918 in The Fort Wayne News and Sentinel:
Edward Adam Wilkerson, aged 32, residing at 501 Fairmount Place, died at the residence last night at 7 o'clock after one week's illness from pneumonia. He was a carpenter by trade and was a member of the Carpenter's union and the Trinity Methodist church. Besides the wife, he is survived by three sons, John, Kenneth and Raymond. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
