Mrs. Clara Henry Dies Early Monday
In failing health for several years, Mrs. Clara Henry, widow of the late James A. Henry, died in the Catlett Nursing Home at 7:30 o'clock Monday morning.
She had been ill the past three years and was bedfast for a year.
The body has been taken to the Vandivier Funeral Home where services are to be conducted at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Mr. Golden A. Smith, pastor of the Grace Methodist Church, will officiate, and burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the mortuary after 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon and are invited to attend the rites.
She was the daughter of William and Mary Scott Jones and was born in Johnson County April 17, 1872 and had spent her life here.
Over 60 years ago she was married to Mr. Henry and they were the parents of seven children. On May 30, 1919, Mr. Henry died. Mrs. Henry was also preceded in death by two sons, Charles and Paul Henry, and a daughter, Ruth.
Four sons survive. They are Wayne Henry of Franklin, Raymond Henry of Whiteland, William Henry of Southport, and Cecil Henry of Indianapolis. Also remaining are 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Hattie Barnes of Franklin.
Mrs. Henry was a member of the Grace Methodist Church.
