Remains Brought Here For Funeral
Funeral services were conducted for Ben E. Eayrs by E.L. Spaulding, Baptist Minister, in the Morrill and Hornshuh Chapel Saturday afternoon, Sacred music was furnished by Chester D. Mathews, accompanied by Mrs. Louise Morrill. Intermnet services were conducted in the Lassen Cemetery by the Independent Order of Oddfellows. Pallbearers included Ed Jellison, R.L. Winchester, Geo. Du Praw, W.L. Hyatt, George Lacey and Shirley Stampfli.
Mr. Eayrs is survived by his wife Mrs. Ida May Eayrs of Grass Valley and the following children; Jessie Lee Eayrs, Klamath Falls, Ore., Mrs. Helen Franklin, Grass Valley; Mrs. Gladys Jette, Missoula, Montana, and Howard E. Eayrs, Klamath Falls; also the following brothers and sisters: Perry Eayrs, Klamath Falls; Clifford Eayrs, Rexford, Montana; Charles and Clarence Eayrs, Kalipel (city hard to read), Mont.; Mrs. Bertha Collor, Rexford, Mont.; Mrs. Maud (unreadable), Portlsteh, Ida; Mrs. Rena Swanson, Montesano, Wash.; two grandchildren.
Mr. Eayrs had resided in Grass Valley for the past year but prior to that time spent about 8 years in Susanville. He passed away at his home Wednesday night. He was 68 years old and a native of Palmyra, Michigan.
