He was born Aug. 18, 1918 in Lindale and was a lifetime resident of the Tyler/Lindale area. He retired from Smith County Road Department.

Survivors include three daughter, Frances Glasscock and Brenda Harden, both of Tyler; and Frankie Allred, Galveston; two sons, William Glasscock and Wesley Glasscock, both of Tyler; his mother Lorene Guerin, Lancaster; four brothers, Johnny Glasscock and Wayne Glasscock, both of Odessa Tom Glasscock, Richmond, and Willie Joe Glasscock, Lancaster; four sister, Martha Lee Smith, Fort Worth; Opal Ketner, Chandler; Annie Pearl Mason, Leesburg, and Maggie Pugh, California; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
