The funeral for Ferdinand J. Adams, 88, was October 22, 1984 in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Reynolds. He died October 19, at Tri County Retirement and Nursing Home, Hatton.
Mr. Adams was born to Ferdinand Adams Sr., and Anna (Ackerman) Adams on March 10, 1896 at Reynolds, where he grew up and attended school. He married Anna Marie Huard (Annieferd), September 24, 1918 at Thompson, N.D. They farmed in Michigan township near Reynolds until 1945 when they moved to Reynolds and he retired from farming in 1960. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus in Reynolds. He was preceeded (sic) in death by a son, his wife, seven sisters and six brothers.
Survivors include a son James, Reynolds, five grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
Con celebrants at the funeral mass were Father Kenneth Knoke and Father Phillip Ackerman, Devils Lake, a great nephew. Jim Beitz, Hillsboro, a great-grandson and Brad Adams, a great nephew, Reynolds, served mass.
Organist for prayer service and the funeral mass were Mrs. Lawrence Weber and Mrs. Ardell Adams. Soloist was Ardell Adams..
Casket bearers were grandsons and great-grandsons, Norman Adams, Goodrige, Mn., Lyle Adams, Reynold, Bill Adams, Fargo; Eugene, Dan and Tom Beitz, all Hillsboro.
Interment was in Calvary Cemetery at Reynolds.
