Pearson Rites Held Wednesday
Charles Pearson, aged 78, a resident of Crystal Falls for the past 30 years, died suddenly Monday afternoon at 2:45 of a heart attack, at the home of his son, Carl, on Forest avenue.
Born in Sweden on August 20, 1864, Mrs. Pearson came first to Baraboo, Wisconsin, then to Ishpeming and to Crystal Falls. He was married in Sweden to Alma Swenson who preceded him in death four years ago.
He is survived by one son, Carl, of the city, and two daughters, Mrs. James Johnson, of Iron River, and Mrs. Gilbert Bregger, Sr., of Crystal Falls; five grandchildren, Esther and James Pearson, Helen Johnson, Raymond and Gilbert Bregger; also four great-grandchildren, Marjorie, Joanne and Raymond Bregger, Jr., and Nancy Bregger.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the home with Rev. E. C. Parlin officiating. Pallbearers were George Thomas, of Iron River, John Salin, Axel Anderson and Clarence Premo, of Crystal Falls.
Interment was made in the Crystal Falls cemetery.
Among those from out of town who attended the rites were Mrs. and Mrs. George Thomas, Mr. and Mrs. Albin Johnson, Charles Haines, Miss Alma Westcott, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cossette and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Anderson, of Iron River, and Mrs. Frank Stebbins, of Amasa.
