James Wesley Anderson, 83, of Claudville, died Sunday, December 4, 2005, at his home. He was born in Patrick County on September 25, 1922 to the late Joe and Amanda McMillian Anderson. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Joe Bill Anderson, Raleigh Anderson and Austin Anderson. He was retired from Pike Electric with 38 years of service and attended Unity Bible church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served during World War II. Surviving are his wife, Georgia Watson Anderson of the home; one daughter, Dawn Flynn of Winston-Salem, N.C.; one son, Donald Anderson of Claudville; four sisters, Essie Bishop of Claudville, Ossie Caldwell of Indianapolis, Inc, Dorothy Setzer of Norfolk and Polly Scales of Ararat; one brother, Roy Anderson of Westfield, N.C.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Unity Bible Church by the Rev. Buford Jessup. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
