Edward S. "Marvin" LANG, 44, R.R. 3, Elkhart, died of an industrial accident at 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Sellers Manufacturing company in Wakarusa, where he was a painter. A steel girder slipped from a hoist and fell onto his head.
Born July 12, 1924 in Pasadena, Cal., he was the son of Edward and Daisy LANG. He moved to Plymouth in 1966 and had lived near Elkhart for three months. He was married to Wanda IRWIN in Argos July 11, 1948. She survives. He attended the Wesleyan Methodist church in Plymouth.
Surviving with the wife are the step-mother, Mrs. Edward LANG, Bethany, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. Cleo SAFFELL, Los Angeles, and Mrs. Marita PRETZER, Colorado Springs, Colo., and a brother, Charles [LANG], of California.
Last rites will be at the Grossman funeral home in Argos at 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Robert L. KENWORTHY officiating. Burial will be in the Argos Maple Grove cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
