Mrs. Sarah M. Adrian, 67, of Mary's Home, died Tuesday, April 16, 1973 at a Jefferson City nursing home following an illness of two years. She was born in St. Thomas May 12, 1905, the daughter of Joseph and Christina Gerling Schmidt. She was married Feb. 9, 1926 at St. Thomas to Hubert A. Adrian, who survives.
Other survivors include: two sons - Richard Adrian and Robert Adrian, both of Mary's Home; one daughter - Mrs. Rose Marie Kempker of Eugene; six brothers - Otto Schmidt of Jefferson City, Thomas and William Schmidt of St. Thomas, Louis Schmidt of Overland, Hubert Schmidt of Henley, and Emil Schmidt of Flint, Michigan; one sister - Mrs. Ida Luebbert of Overland Park, Kansas, and 14 grandchildren. She was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Mary's Home, wher services were held. Burial was in the parish cemetery." (Source: Unterrified Democrat, April 1973)
