Deceased Name: Carl A. Parsons
Carl A. Parsons of Miami died Friday, Oct. 28, 2005, at Miami Nursing Center.
He was 90.
Parsons was born June 22, 1915, in Hallowell, Kan., to Delbert W. and Abigail Alice (Leslie) Parsons. He moved to Commerce in 1933.
He worked as a truck driver for Eagle Picher Mining Co. for nine years and for Commerce Sales for 21 years. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Commerce.
He married Lorena Gurley on Oct. 17, 1936, in Columbus, Kan. She preceded him in death on Feb. 11, 1997. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
Survivors include one son, Terry Lee Parsons of Hastings, Neb.; three grandchildren, one niece and three nephews.
Services were 10 a.m. today at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens, east of Miami, with the Rev. Gene Hutchcraft officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Miami.
