Mrs. Elnora Applegate died Sunday morning at 3:30 at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Nichols, 2348 Eighth Street, after a lingering illness at age of 84 years.
She was the daughter of Thomas and Nancy Harr of Greenup, Ky. She united in marriage to James Applegate and to this union was born eight children, three of whom are living, Mrs. Dave Nichols of Eighth street, Mrs. Lindsey Lambert of Columbus, and Mrs. Locher Smith of Letitia, Ky., one brother, Richard Harr of Flat Hollow, one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Keebler of Letitia, Ky., and 33 grandchildren and 66 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Locher Smith, Letitia, Ky.
