Doris B. BENTON, 83, of Norton, passed away Thursday (Jan. 19, 2006) at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport, Tenn. following a long illness.
Born to Fleetwood and Allie JONES BOGGS, she was a native of and long time resident of Norton. The widow of Fred BENTON, she was the last of several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, . . . of Atlanta, Ga., a son, . . . Washington, DC; nieces, . . . nephews, . . . BOGGS. Doris was fortunate to have special friends and companions, . . . who were far more than caregivers.
Calling hours were held Saturday, Jan. 21, at the Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home in Norton. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church of Norton, with the Rev. . . . officiating. Burial followed in the Laurel Grove Cemetery in Norton.
