Gerald Edward Belcher

Gerald Edward Belcher, 58, of Stanford, died Wednesday, April 12 at his home.

A native of Lincoln Co., he was born March 27, 1948 to the late David and Vena Wilmot Belcher. He was a 1966 graduate of Crab Orchard High School, a production assistant manager at Hitachi Automotive in Harrodsburg for 19 years, and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Playforth Belcher of Stanford; two daughters, Melanie (Shane) Warren of Lancaster and Nicole (Brandon) Jenkins of Hustonville; five brothers, Earl Belcher of Harrodsburg, Don and George Belcher both of Crab Orchard, Jim Belcher of Lancaster, and Bobby Belcher of Vacaville, CA.; four sisters, Roberta Singleton and Beulah Pearce both of West Chester, OH, and Virginia Harness and Mary Jane Belcher of Crab Orchard; three grandchildren, Emma Kate Warren, Connor Warren and Carson Jenkins; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 15 at the Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford with Bro. Frank Cleaver and Bro. Harold Harness officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were David Belcher, David Harness, Sawn Pearce, Tyler Belcher, Darrick Barnett, Derek Goodman, Todd Salyers, and Andrew Woodall. Honorary pallbearers were nieces and nephews.
