Ninety Six SC - Mrs. Essie Louise Workman Powers, 55, wife of William C. Powers of 119 Saluda St., died today [July 2, 1982] at Self Memorial Hospital. Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Landrum D. and Rebecca Montjoy Workman. She was a retired textile employee of Greenwood Mills, Adams Plant and was a member of Cambridge Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Ronnie (Linda) Hallman, Mrs. Tommy (Jean) Balchin and Mrs. Steve(Judy) Pearson, all of Ninety Six; a son, Michael Powers of Greenwood; a sister, Mrs. Sam Baynes of Gray Court; a brother, Henry Workman of Laurens; five grandchildren. Burial in Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery. Harley Funeral Home.
