Lanier's Body Here Friday
The body of Murray Lanier, who died Tuesday in a sanitarium at Johnson City, Tennessee, is expected tomorrow afternoon. The funeral will be held sometime Friday, the exact time depending on the arrival of the body. Mr. Lanier had been at the sanitarium for sometime because of ill health.
The funeral services will be held at the home of Mrs. Dews, 924 Twenty-fourth Street, and the services will be conducted by Reverend G. T. Forrester.

Murray Lanier To Be Buried Today At 4 P. M.
Funeral of Murray S. Lanier, who died Tuesday at the National Sanitarium in Johnson City, Tennessee, after a long illness of several months, will be held at 4 o'clock this afternoon from the home of Clarence Dews, 924 Twenty-fourth Street.
In addition to a host of friends on the Peninsula, he is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Lanier; two small children, Mary and Murray, Jr., his mother; Mrs. M. E. Lanier of Berkley, Virginia; J. T. Lanier of Norfolk and Mrs. Emma Cutrell of South Creek, North Carolina.
He was a member of the Woodmen of The World and a member of the Huntington Rifles.
The funeral services will be conducted by Reverend G. T. Forrester, pastor of the Chestnut Avenue Methodist Church, and interment will be made in Greenlawn. The pallbearers will be Ben Dews, Cecil Williams, Alvin Dews, A. W. Walker, Dr. Samuel Downing and M. H. Davis.
