Born July 29, 1939, in Lamar, MO; he was the son of the late Gerald L. and Zora Wooldridge Boles.
A veteran, Mr. Boles served in the Army from 1960 to 1963.
He was married on April 11, 1966 to the former Georgia Claypool; she preceded him in death on June 12, 1989.
Mr. Boles retired from Seidle Chevrolet in Clarion where we worked as an auto detailer.
He enjoyed landscaping, auto detailing, and doing taxes.
Mr. Boles was of the Protestant faith.
He is survived by three step-children, Melanie Anderson and her husband, Michael, of Independence, KS; Carol Lewis and her husband, Robert, of West Springfield; and Steven Meier and his wife, Julie, of Oklahoma City, OK; several step-grandchildren and great step-grandchildren.; and close friend, Mike Peace of Clarion.
Also surviving are a brother, Richard L. Boles and his wife, Dorothy, of California, and Kay Wagner and her husband, Hal, of Salina, KS.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two step-children, Dennis Meier and Karen Meier Merryman.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 23, 2011, at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, 638 Wood Street, Clarion.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. on Friday, December 23, 2011, in the funeral home.
Interment will be held in the Cedarview Memorial Park in Strattanville.

A graveside service for Ronald L. Boles will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Cedarview Memorial Park, Strattanville, with the Rev. Harold O. Jacobson, pastor of the Grace Lutheran Church in Clarion, officiating.
Mr. Boles, 72, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh.
